21 Reasons

It was this girl's birthday yesterday!

I just love her.

In honor of her 21st birthday I give you 21 reasons why I love Kristen Ipson:

1. She cooks for me.

2. She makes me laugh.

3. She fixes my window.

7. She makes our apartment pretty and clean.

8. She loves sports.

9. She goes crazy with me when we watch sports.

10. She's like a little kid.

11. She lets me steal her food.

12. She lets me steal her soap when I run out.

13. She makes really good brownies.

14. She likes corndogs.

15. She's Jazzed!

16. She makes tasty tacos.

17. She's having an HSM birthday party.

18. She drives a sweet red truck with no power steering. I named him Rover.

19. She organizes EVERYTHING.

20. She believes in me.

21. She tells me I can do hard things.

I just love her!

Arches 2010

So I went to Moab last weekend with a group of friends from my ward. Oh. My. Gosh. It was so much fun!

Like Really fun. I wish I was still there.

We hiked around Arches and it was just the time of my life.

Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer

My SUMMER list of 2010

I hope to accomplish all these things over the summer along with making money and playing all the time!

-Exercise-

I would love to actually run the WHOLE freedom festival 5k or maybe even the 10k (don't tell my mom)

-Learn to play the guitar-

(Emily gave me her guitar while she is serving the Lord and I even have a book to help)

-Learn to play tennis-

(I want to actually be able to play tennis with Chris when he gets home. I have rackets, but I don't have anyone to teach me)

-READ-

(I've got a list)

-Get a hot tan-

(I'm planning on doing the previous goal outside or even at the pool!)

-Get rid of all my pack rat stuff-

(I don't want to move it at the end of the summer. I've acquired a lot of junk after living in the same place for 2 years.)

-Learn how to cook-

(I have cook books. And roommates who love to cook. And my mom. Hopefully they'll all teach me.)

-Learn how to sew on a button and have it look good.-

(I bet I could learn how to do this on the internet)

-Hike-

(Utah has so many great hiking places. I want to take advantage. I'm starting this weekend with a trip to Moab)

-Finally get my young woman hood award-

(I know what you all are thinking. SINNER! I know, I know. I regret it. But with the new program they just got ANYONE can do it. So I'm going to do it this summer!)

30 Strangers

As promised, here is my story about my awesome time with Justin Hackworth.

It all started when I was reading cjane one day.

She had a link to Justin's blog to enter to be a part of his 30 Strangers with Justin Hackworth project. You enter. He picks 30 people. Takes a picture of you and your mom, grandma, or daughter. He gives you one free print. You give a donation to the Women's Center. Pretty cool right?

I thought "Hey I've seen some of his pictures before and I really like them. This would be so fun with my mom and grandma. I'm going to enter!"

Well. I won!

And on Monday we had our session with Justin. Let's just say he's awesome! Really it was so much fun. More fun than I've had in a long time! I couldn't stop smiling. We were having all sorts of laughs.

I told my mom at one point that I wanted him to be my photographer at my wedding. And then at the end he said "Here Courtney this is for you. Because someday you are going to get married." And hands me a business card about his photography for weddings! He's totally going to be my photographer. I love him!

You can see 4 of the pictures from our session on Justin's blog here. (We are day 19) As he says, it appears that we did not smile at all. But I'm pretty sure he picked the only 4 pictures we weren't smiling in. At one point he had to tell me to stop smiling.

I'm super excited to see all of the pictures on Tuesday!
