No longer desperate
They liked the experience that I had at Pinnacle so I'll probably be doing some things similar to what I did there but in a different area of the company than what I was in at Pinnacle.
I will probably have to work until 9 some nights. But that isn't too bad. And I really needed a job. And they're going to pay me pretty well too.
So, happy early birthday to me!

Today I cut my toenails....
Then I painted them red
Then I went to bed
With a boy named Fred
Who is not dead
But then he said
Let's make some bread
So into the kitchen he lead
And there sat Ted
He has a nice head
We made some bread
It was a dread
I like Ted
I do not like Fred
I banged him on the head
He is now dead
Then I fed
Some bread
To Ted
And we fled
Because Fred was dead
As we fled
Ted saw Ed
So I fed
Some bread to Ed
And instead
He saw Fred
Ted saw Ed see Fred
So Ted banged Ed
On the head
He is now dead
So Ted and I fled
And we got wed

Desperate

Did you know?
I went into my kitchen took a bowl and covered it in aluminum foil, added a tablespoon of salt, a tablespoon of baking soda, and some hot water. Then I stirred till it was all dissolved. Next I had to see if this easy and free recipe worked, so I took one of my rings that I wasn't all that attached to and I put in the solution. I pulled it out and it had worked! But beware it kind of stinks...
Some of the more tarnished jewelry I had to let soak, but it worked for the most part on all of my rings, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces!
This is the chemistry behind it and how it works. Kinda cool! Silver sulfide is the stuff that makes your silver look grayish over time. This process is called oxidation. When immersed in the baking soda/salt solution, the aluminum reacts with the silver sulfide, pulling the sulfur atoms out and "plating" them onto the aluminum as aluminum sulfide. The silver that remains from the reaction is redeposited onto the silver.
P.S. I found out a little after I finished this great experiment that it left my hands quite dry, so either wear gloves or have some lotion handy. I think the lotion handy option is better.

a little terrified
I could use any type of advice and help I can get.
So fellow bloggers....what is your best piece of advice for writing a talk and speaking in church?
And...
Do you have any good, quality sources for my topic?

The Way I Am
I'm feeling pretty discouraged about no job yet. Not to worry though, cause it's nothing a good night's sleep can't fix. I've been applying to places like crazy. I'm crossing my fingers that something will come soon. I even applied to read stories to little kiddies at the library for 3 hours a day for an awesome $10 an hour!! I hope that one works out.
Since I don't have a job I've found that free food is a definite plus! And on Saturday I didn't have to pay for any of my meals. (But I would have bought a hot dog at the BYU softball game, but the concessions was a little retarded). Anyway, I got a free french toast breakfast at Macey's and it was actually quite enjoyable. And I got a FREE hot dog at my ward opening social. (Where I had a girl ask if I was being "for real" when I said I was 19, not for long though) And then I got a free, delicious dutch oven dinner from my home ward girl's camp fundaiser (one of the perks of having my mom as the girl's camp director). And I also got free cake later on in the night, well it was kind of free, I got it for helping take down stuff for the volleyball championship at BYU. So 3 free meals for me! It was just perfect.
I can officially start my nursing (re)application! (As of yesterday). It's not due till the 29th though. But I think I will finish it before the week is over. It will take me probably 2 hours to finish, most of the stuff I've already got done from the first time. I'm crossing my fingers and praying extra hard that come June I'll get an email that says "Congratulations!"
Life still amazes me everyday. You think you've got it all figured out, but then everything changes. Wow. Life is crazy! Life can change so fast in just 365 days. Come what may and love it, right? Just enjoy the journey!

Is quncles a word?
I used to play speed scrabble my senior year in high school all the time! We played a few games of that one too. I can't decide if I like the traditional or speed better. Speed is so fast paced and usually more exciting, but it takes less mind working for words that will get you the most points. Traditional makes you feel so smart, but takes longer.
Speed Scrabble Rules
1. Each player starts with 7 letters. The Scrabble board is not used. The remaining letter tiles are placed in the center of the table face down. Players must make up the best words that they can from the selection of letters they start with.
2. The first person to use all of their letters shouts "Take Two" and then everyone has to pick up two letter tiles.
3. Players are allowed to "dismantle" their layout and rearrange it if they can make better words. They can do this as many times as they wish. The only rule is that as soon as someone says "Take Two" all players have to pick up two tiles.
(When playing against opponents who have a good selection of letters and who are quick at making up words, the game can get exciting very quickly, especially if there are 4 or more players. The game can also become extremely competitive because of the challenge of making up good, high scoring words quickly.)
4. When there are no more letters left to pick up, tally up each person's score minus the points on their unused tiles.
I also love my scrabble swivel board!History of scrabble!
